So what is the role?

This is a cross-functional engineering role focused on scaling our backend platform and deployment pipelines while occasionally contributing to our frontend. You’ll bring modern DevOps practices to our micro-services, machine learning infrastructure, and Azure-based systems—with strong Python fluency and full-stack awareness:

Leading CI/CD pipeline design and implementation for FastAPI, ML microservices, and React frontends on Azure
Managing deployments and infrastructure (Web Apps, Static Web Apps, Azure Functions, Key Vault, etc.)
Writing and maintaining backend logic in Python (FastAPI) and contributing to shared libraries or platform tools
Occasionally contributing to React-based frontend features, especially those tied to platform or deployment tools
Driving infrastructure best practices: logging, secrets, monitoring, SSO, and access control
Acting as Incident Lead in the event of platform & system outages, coordinating triage, resolution, and internal communication across teams

This is the next level you achieve after 6 months:

You’ve implemented reliable, secure CI/CD pipelines across backend, frontend, and ML services using GitHub Actions
You’ve contributed Python improvements to the backend codebase and helped clean up or unify shared modules
Our deployment processes and observability stack are fully documented and easily repeatable

What you need for this role:

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in DevOps, backend platform engineering, or full-stack development
Strong Python expertise (FastAPI, CLI tools, scripting, and backend services)
Experience deploying and maintaining apps in Azure (Web Apps, Static Web Apps, Key Vault, etc.)
Comfortable with React and TypeScript (you’ve shipped production frontend code)
Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep, or similar)
